Program won't startup - ZSTUD.DAT error! Help!

Postby Vigilence » Wed Jul 31, 2013 1:05 am

Hello, I installed a fresh copy of SR 3D Builder (Version 0.8.9.18) but get an error message as soon as the program begins to boot up.

Here is a SS of the message:

If someone could help troubleshoot this message that would be awesome.

Hi,
there maybe 2 cases:
- you have the lDraw AIOI part library installed on your PC
- You have installed the latest lDraw parts update on your PC

In the first case rename the c:\ldraw folder and perform a new installation of my program
In the second case, remove the c:\ldraw folder and perform a new installation of the program.
My application actual release is still not tested with latest lDraw part library update.

Uninstalling Ldraw, and reinstalling SR 3D Builder worked!

Thanks for helping me out!

Will this get fixed?? It's been nearly two years and I would really like access to newer parts.

Is there a way to update the parts without killing sr3d?

Okay, I removed the line
zstud.dat
from the file cachelist.txt which allows the program to load and run. It still gives a horrifying crash (requiring task manager to kill it) if I try to access any znap parts, though. (Luckily I don't use znap parts.)

I should also mention that when I looked through zstud.dat, there was no line that matched the one in the error message.
